Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MobArts Ltd (“MobArts”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the mobile application Plant Care: Watering Reminder (the “App”). It covers both the iOS and the Android version; where the two differ, this is stated explicitly.

In short: Plant Care does not have user accounts and does not send your personal data to our servers. The plants, photos, notes, and reminders you create stay on your device, and — if you turn it on — in your own private Apple or Google account, which we cannot read. We use one privacy-focused analytics service to collect anonymous usage statistics that are not linked to your identity.

1. Information You Create in the App

You may add plants with names, species, locations, care schedules, journal notes, and photos. This content is stored on your device, in the App’s private storage. Depending on your platform and settings, a copy may also exist in your own personal cloud account:

  • iOS — iCloud sync. If iCloud is enabled, your garden is synchronised between your Apple devices through Apple’s CloudKit private database, tied to your Apple ID. This data lives in your iCloud account, not on servers controlled by MobArts, and we cannot read, access, or retrieve it. Your use of iCloud is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
  • Android — device backup. If Android Backup is enabled in your device settings, a copy is stored in your own Google Drive backup area. It does not count against your Drive storage and we cannot read it. Your use of Android Backup is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.

The Android version does not synchronise your data between devices, and neither version connects to any server operated by MobArts.

2. Notifications

The App schedules reminders locally on your device so that you are notified when a plant needs care. Notifications are generated on the device itself; no reminder content is sent to us or to any third party, and the App does not use push notifications.

3. Photos and Camera

If you attach photos to your plants or journal, those images are stored in the App’s private storage on your device (and in your personal cloud copy described above, if enabled). They are not uploaded to any server operated by MobArts. The App requests access to your photo library or camera only when you choose to add a picture; on Android the system photo picker is used, which hands over only the images you select.

4. Purchases

Optional Pro features are sold through the store you installed the App from — Apple’s In-App Purchase system on iOS, Google Play’s billing system on Android. All payments and billing are handled by Apple or Google respectively. We do not receive or store your payment information. The App receives only your purchase/subscription status in order to unlock the features you have bought.

5. Anonymous Analytics

To understand how the App is used and to improve it, we use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service operated by TelemetryDeck GmbH (Germany). TelemetryDeck collects only anonymous usage data, such as:

  • which features and screens are used (for example, when a plant is added or the upgrade screen is shown);
  • technical information like the App version, operating system version, device model, and language.

This data is not linked to your identity. TelemetryDeck does not use Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA) or the Android advertising ID, does not show the “Ask App to Track” prompt, and does not build advertising profiles. Any device identifier used to group signals is processed into an anonymized, hashed value, so it cannot be traced back to you. We do not use this data to track you across other apps or websites. 6. Data We Do Not Collect

  • We do not require registration or accounts.
  • We do not use third-party advertising networks.
  • We do not track you across other apps or websites.
  • We do not collect data that personally identifies you.
  • We do not sell or share your personal data.
  • We do not collect precise or approximate location.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Because your content is stored on your device and in your own cloud account, you are in control of it at all times:

  • Delete individual plants or entries within the App.
  • Delete or uninstall the App to remove its local data from your device.
  • Manage or remove cloud copies in your device settings — iCloud settings on iOS, Settings → Google → Backup on Android.

Anonymous analytics data cannot be tied to you and therefore cannot be individually retrieved or deleted; it is retained by TelemetryDeck only in aggregate, anonymized form.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes become effective when the updated version is posted at this address.
